Rufayda Academy was officially established on 1 Muharram 1446H, corresponding to 7 July 2024, as a subsidiary of Andorra Healthcare Berhad. The academy was founded to realize the aspirations of Dr. Khamsiah Muda, the founder of ANDORRA Women and Children Hospital, to add value to the ANDORRA culture, which is based on Passion, Empathy, Affection, Respect, and Love (PEARL) concept.

This vision was embraced by the Board of Directors of ANDORRA, led by Dato’ Seri Dr. Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri, leading to the establishment of Rufayda Academy. The academy is named after Rufayda al-Aslamiah, a renowned figure in Islamic nursing history known for her contributions to care and welfare.

Rufayda Academy was established to address gaps in the healthcare system that require a spiritual care approach, which is increasingly recognized as a key component of future holistic medicine. Additionally, the surplus of nurses in the country presents a significant issue that requires effective solutions. Hence, Rufayda Academy emerged as a competitive consultancy, training academy, and research center aimed at shaping a higher quality healthcare ecosystem.

Looking ahead, Rufayda Academy aspires to penetrate international markets, particularly the Middle East, and become a recognized certification body in the healthcare sector. The academy is committed to continuous innovation and enhancing healthcare standards on a global scale.
